Digital Downloads FAQ’s

Q: Can I purchase digital downloads without purchasing My Digital Studio?
A: Yes. Our digital downloads (with the exception of Designer Templates and the Express Booster Pack) are compatible with other software programs. You cannot, however take advantage of Stampin' Up!’s professional print services without purchasing My Digital Studio.

Q: Once I purchase a digital download, does it matter which format I choose to use?
A: When you download digital content, you must choose which format you want (Mac or Windows) and if you will be using it with My Digital Studio or another application. However, once you purchase a download, you own it and it can be installed in different formats from the same download purchase, provided it remains within the parameters of the User License Agreement (used on two computers total).  Click here for download instructions.

Q: What other software programs are compatible with My Digital Studio downloads?
A:  Any program that supports .jpg and .png files & layers such as: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Jasc Paint Shop Pro (PSP), Microsoft Digital Image Pro (DIP), Ulead Photo Impact (PI), Corel Draw.

Q: What are the download prices?
A: Pricing of digital downloads will vary based on size and type of kits to be downloaded.

Q: Will there be any Digital Download Hostess Options
A: Yes.  Starting with the 2011 Summer Mini Catalog, hostesses are able to choose a digital content CD for their hostess benefits.   

Q: Some of my stamp brushes are larger than the matching rubber stamps. Why?
A: While some stamp brush sets are the same size as their rubber counterparts, many stamp brushes are larger (e.g. Medallion, Frames with a Flourish, Enjoy Every Moment). These images are larger by design so you have greater flexibility in how they are used (i.e., as backgrounds). And while you can't make stamp brush images larger without pixilation, you can reduce the size of these images without losing image quality.

Q: Are the images in the digital downloads already included in the My Digital Studio software?
A: My Digital Studio and My Digital Studio Express Booster Pack come with a standard set of images; some of these standard images are available for purchase online. However, we regularly release new digital downloads that are not part of the original software or Express Booster Pack. Your customers can purchase these in the Online Store by using the search term DWNLDA (the "A" indicates that is additional content not found in the DVD software). You can also search for additional downloadable images in OEX by using the search term DWNLDA.

Q: Will all of Stampin' Up!'s images, embellishments, and paper be available digitally?
A: My Digital Studio comes with a rich digital collection of exclusive Stampin' Up! art, papers, colors, and accessories. While not all of Stampin' Up!'s catalog products are included, some artwork is created exclusively for My Digital Studio and is only available as digital downloads.

Q: When I download digital images, I’m not able to find the file on my computer after the download is complete.
A: Unless you know where your file is downloading to, or are confident in being able to find the file after it has downloaded, we recommend that you select Run, instead of Save when downloading images. Selecting Run will automatically place the files in the correct My Digital Studio folder, but may take a little longer to complete the download process.

Q: Some people are not being charged sales tax when they purchase My Digital Downloads. Why?
A: Some states don't apply a sales tax to non-tangible items. If you are concerned that an error has occurred, please review your state's tax laws before reporting the error to Stampin' Up!
