I started this project with a specific need—gifts for friends who are expecting babies this year.

Here’s how my scattered brainstorm went:

  • I remembered that last year Andrea Bowden shared an awesome idea for a baby shower gift. Love it!
  • It’s Tuesday—and that means new downloads! It is perfect: Blossom Builders Embellishments for the girls and the On the Go Kit for the boys.
  • One of the projects at leadership this year was an embellished framed quote using the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit from the Occasions Mini Catalog. It was beautiful. (Seriously, Google “Stampin’ Up! Leadership 2012 Make & Takes”.) I already knew I would love the look of the digital flowers.
  • I found a quote on Pinterest about enjoying the little moments with your little ones.
  • I paused the brainstorm for reflection. My little one is almost three and I am in denial! (I know—he’s only three, but how did this happen?)

Then, I got to work and ended up with two printable quotes that I will frame for a little boy or girl. There you have it. Inspiration is everywhere! Mix it with My Digital Studio and repeat often.

Hint: For the boy project, I had to get creative with the airplane since it is on a paper and I didn’t want the flag for this project. I placed the paper in the background (as a page layer). Then, I added a square punch over it, filled with the same paper, and zoomed in on the airplane. I also layered a small circle punch to hide the little blue hitch at the end of the plane.

Can you tell us what fonts you used for the different colored words, please?  (like I really need to add more fonts to my computer...)

Wonderful gifts! I'll have to keep these in mind. Thanks for the pictures and details of how you adapted the plane.

This is a great idea--too bad we can't see who the author is to give them full credit!!
