Christmas Cards with Our FREE Home for the Holidays Ensemble

Well the snow will be coming soon which means it’s time to start thinking about my Christmas cards. I just love Stampin’ Up!’s new Home for the Holidays Ensemble and knew it would work perfectly for my cards this year. The ensemble comes with a greeting card designer template and some fabulous stamp brushes and embellishments which I used to create my cards.

The template is easy to work with; you can simply click on each photo box to add a picture. I played around and was able to create a couple of fun cards starting with this template!

I kept the first card simple. I just added my photos and used a new background color (Real Red), changed the color of the “so much” and added an adorable snowman from the embellishments in this collection. Of course I’m biased, but my daughter’s cute photos were perfect for this card, don’t you think?

The second card I created was slightly more work than the first, but I love how it turned out. I decided to change the size of the photo boxes and added more embellishments and stamp brushes from the Home for the Holidays Ensemble.

Here’s what I did for the inside of the greeting card:

The best part of this ensemble is that it is FREE! I can’t wait to use the rest of the ensemble to make more Christmas projects!

Donnette, I am very inexperienced with Macs so I don't know for sure - however, my limited experience has been that lots of the functions basically do the same things (just how to get them to work etc. is different). So, give it a try! Others may be interested in what you learn.

Thanks so much Suzanne.  I actually just realized that it had installed just outside my MDS instead of inside the program where it should be.  Sheesh!  Re-installed it and it now works in MDS & I can see it :-)

Can I use Explorer to search my MDS folder on a Mac ?

Donette, you should find one "Home for the Holidays" in designer templates for 5x7 landscape cards, and the 5x3 1/2 landscape postcard (this is an invitation template); the colored images are embellishments found in Designer Kits/Home for the Holidays. A way to cross-check if all the related files for this kit are on your computer is to use your Explorer to search your My Digital Studio folder for (and put this in quotes) "Home for the holidays" -- it seems all the files are tagged and/or grouped under that. If it is not on your computer you may need to go thru all the steps and download it again - be sure to do that by selecting the type of computer program you are using. I hope this helps...

Where do I find the template, stamps & embellishments ????  After the download & install, I can't find anything.  I searched embellishments for tree and snowman and nothing popped up.  Also designer template for landscape cards of 2 diff. sizes and nothing is there that I can find :-(
