It really is Christmas in July today! The 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog goes live today, which means there are 26 NEW My Digital Studio downloads and an In Color update to the software!
The new downloads coordinate with your favorite traditional stamps, embellishments, and Designer Series Paper from the catalog! You can purchase all of this content as individual downloads or as four large DVD collections (priced at over a 10 percent discount from the individual download prices).
And what better way to start out the first day of the catalog than with a FREE greeting card designer template! Download this adorable Fruit & Flowers 5-1/2” x 4-1/4” template for a quick glance at some mixing and matching of this new content!
Customers get it here: (Please note that the free download will be available immediately if you already have an online ordering account. If you don’t have an account, it may take up to 24 hours to appear after creating it.)
Demonstrators get it in: OEX (item 127547)
(Free Fruit & Flowers designer template uses the following downloads: Fruit & Flowers Stamp Brush Set, My Friend Stamp Brush Set, Downtown Grunge Photobook Template, and Simple Stitches & Corners)
You may have also noticed all of the new 2011-2013 In Colors on the free designer template. You can update your My Digital Studio color palette by downloading the latest 1.0.7 update to the software by going to “Check for Updates” in the Help menu of your My Digital Studio software or by installing from the Updates section of MyDigitalStudio.net. Once installed, the color palette in your software will be updated with this year’s In Colors: Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder.
And, make sure you stay tuned next Tuesday for more exciting In Color downloads!
I can’t wait to see all of the incredible samples you make with all these new downloads and the In Colors!

Comment by Andrea Bowden on July 5, 2011 at 5:18pm Yes, you are absolutely correct, Kimberly. You would have to purchase the actual Simple Stitches & Corners download to see all the pieces. The designer templates don't install all of the individual downloads as well.
Sandy, I had assumed you purchased the Simple Stiches & Corners download and could not see it in MDS.
Comment by Kimberley Morris on July 5, 2011 at 5:01pm I'm not sure you actually get installation of all the downloads that a template uses--you just get the template, don't you? In other words, in order to have the option to actually be able to use the Simple Stitches & Corners images on items other than just that template, you'd have to buy the downloads separately, wouldn't you? I mean, it makes no sense to me that we can buy a card template for $1.95 and have full use of all the digital downloads used in it, which cost way more individually to buy. I would think you could only manipulate those items on that template, but not choose them out of your design palette to use elsewhere.
Comment by Andrea Bowden on July 5, 2011 at 3:39pm Sandy, If it still isn't showing up, I would try downloading and installing again. Once finished, you should see a combination of original stitching along with new, like below...
Also, if MDS was open when your originally downloaded and installed the file, you may only need to close MDS and reopen in order to see the stitching. Hope this helps!

The Simple Stitches & Corners are found under "Staple & Stitching" under embellishments. This way all of your stitching is found in one location!
Hope this helps!

This 1.0.7 update is simply a color palette update. We did also release a free designer template download on Friday that you can install to have an additional 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" greeting card template in MDS.
