I cannot find two versions of QuickTime & have the latest version installed.  I did not have the latest version of Java, so I installed it & removed the older version.  No luck yet.  I'll give DS a call tomorrow.  Thanks for your help.

Marsha, after three calls in to SU and 3-1/2 hours on the phone yestereday with Maryanne at technical support, she got it fixed for me.  In my case, and maybe in yours, it was due to my having two versions of QuickTime installed on my computer at the same time.  Somehow the older version hadn't been uninstalled - probably my fault on that.  She had me completely uninstall that one, then go to the QuickTime website and download the newest version, then install that one.  She also had me update Java to the latest one (version 24) because my other one was ancient (version 6).  All of that was trial and error, but now that I've been through it, it should help you.  If you call them, tell them that Maryanne was the one who fixed it for me.

I also downloaded the new update & now unable to start up MDS.  Getting the same error as Carol - 'unable to initialize the QuickTime Library'.

Any ideas?

oh I just noticed that we can now put ribbons, stitching, borders etc, further off the page on the left hand side!  There are so many amazing updates I don't know where to start!!!  BIG thanks to the MDS team for listening to our concerns!!!

I downloaded and installed the new update two days ago but didn't try to open the program until tonight.  I cannot even start MDS - I get an error message that MDS is unable to initialize the QuickTime Library.  I updated QuickTime and restarted the computer - no go.  Then I re-downloaded the new MDS update and installed, rebooted - still nothing.  I get as far as that error message.  I've tried at least 6 times.  Any insight?  Please?
